Delayed Result

Congrats once again to VLT rider Eric Warden. Two weekends ago in Comfort Eric scored a 2nd place overall after a 1st in the TT, 4th in the STXC, and a 2nd in the XC. It looks like the next stop may be the top of the podium for Eric.

Warda

Big congrats to Velo Love athlete Eric Warden who finished 3rd today in the Cat 1 30-39 class at Warda today. Not a bad way to start the year! Eric has been putting in the hard work needed to climb to the top of the class and it's paying off. Look for him at the top of the class this year.
Cheers,
Matt

2/22 Velo Love Update

Race season is in full swing here in Texas. Road season is already rolling strong and the Texas XC State Champ Series kicks off this coming weekend. Off season is officially over! This past Saturday and Sunday were two Texas classics; Walburg and Pace Bend. Velo Love athlete Mike Thornton was on hand to rack up yet another top ten in the Cat 5's. Not bad for a guy who gets to ride outside once a week and who's training averages six hours per week. Great job Mike!

Cross State Championships

Some great racing took place this weekend on a muddy cyclocross course just outside of Austin. Velo Love had a couple racers grinding through the weekends mud and blood. Eric Warden popped out of winter training mode to come down and log a couple solid finishes. After getting the legs opened up Saturday Eric managed a solid top 10 in Sundays slop fest. Cody Davis lined up on Sunday for his last race of the cross season in the Cat 4's. Cody rode a solid race, finishing up 3rd despite a nasty crash that resulted in some blood, chipped teeth, and a wounded bike. We can't wait for next season, but for now its time to start focusing on the spring!
