Fall Replay

I have been dragging my feet getting this blog up and running, so let me back track a little bit. I have a big backlog of results to post up which I will get to shortly. Going into this fall I had two competitive clients ready to race anything that Texas had to throw at them. Mountain, Cross, or road, they did not discriminate. Ryan Scott and Eric Warden, both of the Bikes Inc MTB team racked up some solid finishes and made some noticeable gains over the last few months. Ryan battled through a good deal of bad luck early in the fall, but kept his head up and we figured out some creative ways he could keep training, despite a broken wrist and thumb. The injury did not slow Ryan too much as he still churned out some solid rides earning a couple trips to the podium. This spring he will be healed up and ready to pick up where he left off. Eric has been quickly gaining momentum over the last year. We paired Eric's work ethic up with some Velo Love structure and the gains were almost instant. He made continual progress through the fall, highlighted with a win at the Think Cash Cowtown Cross Men's 3/4 race and a solid ride to second place Cat 1 30/39 at the first annual Mellow Johnny's Classic. A late comer to the game this fall was Cody Davis. He saddled up on a borrowed bike with some borrowed gear to wage battle against the mighty cat 4 CX'rs. On Cody's debut in Fort Worth and rode to a solid second place in his first cross race. The following weekend Cody put in two more solid rides in Dallas with a second once again in the 4's and then another second on Sunday after moving into the Men's 3/4. Next up on the calendar is the State CX Championship race in January 16th & 17th.
